Mark Silversmith. A Native American man and his young bride are relocating to the valley for their winter home. A late fall snowstorm has slowed their progress and they find themselves in Midwinter type weather. The enduring beauty of the Aspen trees and the rush of the icy stream bring the couple to a place of quiet solitude and the viewer to a vision of life in a simpler place and time.

Winter weather brought harsh realities to Native American families in the late 1800's and many a brave man would battle the forces of nature to secure food and shelter for his family. Such a man is now embarking on a journey to sojourn in the land until his mission is complete and his family has provision for the remaining months.
