Artist: Algie Piapot
Algie Piapot was born on the Rocky Boy
Reservation in Montana, and took an
interest in art at an early age.
"I began attending shows as a profession
in 1989, and since then I have established
myself as a contemporary Indian artist."

Algie never had any formal art training over
the years, but studied different ways and
came up with a style that would captivate the
viewer.
The soft, luminous colors in Algie's indian art
paintings are hard to see here as they were
captured with a digital camera.
