ECLIPSE open casting at ACTOR CAST Too!
ECLIPSE UPDATE with ACTORCAST.COM. Everybody please follow instructions. ACTING 411 says, "NOTE: The only website that is assisting in the casting process for The Twilight Saga: Eclipse is Actorcast.com. The following is the only Official website for Summit Entertainment: www.summit-ent.com. I have received numerous messages from people telling me that they have been sent emails from me through the website Talenthunter.com claiming they are casting Eclipse extras. This is NOT true, as I have absolutely NO affiliation with Talenthunter.com and have never emailed or messaged anyone through their website. Someone is impersonating me at Talenthunter.com and sending messages out using my name.
But please read the fine print! They are ONLY accepting submissions from NATIVE AMERICAN and FIRST NATIONS actors for the roles of Leah Clearwater and Seth Clearwater.
Click on Picture for EclipseOpenCasting.com at Actorcast."

ECLIPSE Auditions. UPDATE, UPDATE!
ECLIPSE auditions UPDATE! Follow instructions everybody! ACTING 411 says, "The Casting Directors for The Twilight Saga: Eclipse have been hired, and auditions are now underway. NOTE: You are not required to register with any pay-subscription websites that are advertising open casting calls or online casting calls for Eclipse, such as "ActorCast." They require you to sign up for a 90-day trial account to submit for Eclipse, after which point you will be offered a subscription plan.
The ONLY CASTING DIRECTORS casting the roles of Seth Clearwater and Leah Clearwater are listed below. And you can mail or email Rene' Haynes an audition video directly to her, instead of signing up with any pay subscription website. The email address is listed below. Native American Roles are often very difficult to cast, I know this as a fact from my many years of serving on the Screen Actors Guild Diversity Department Native American Caucus. I am also good friends with Hanay Geiogamah, who is a Native American Film Producer, founder of the American Indian Theater Ensemble, and a friend and colleague of Rene' Haynes. He informed me of the difficulty in casting the Native American roles for New Moon and Eclipse. Therefore it is understandable that Summit Entertainment has agreed to have ActorCast assist in getting audition videos to Rene Haynes.
Rehearsals are tentatively slated to begin August, 2009 with actual filming starting in late September, 2009. The release date for Eclipse has been announced as Wednesday, June 30, 2010.
Roles Currently Casting:
Leah Clearwater: Female, 19 years of age. Must be Native American or First Nations. Seth's big sister, and the only female member of La Push wolf pack: "She is tall and slender with beautiful skin and short cropped black hair. She would be considered gorgeous if not for the perpetual scowl she carries due to a broken heart and her anger issues."
Seth Clearwater: Male, 15-16 years of age. Must be Native American or First Nations. He is a "tall, gangly-limbed boy with a huge, happy grin, Seth idolizes Jacob." Black hair, lean muscle type, think swimmer type body.
Riley: Male 19-21. Good looking, blond, clean-cut, muscular college guy who falls victim to Victoria. He's in his early to mid 20s and Riley was a newborn that was created by Victoria to act as the leader of her recently formed newborn army. He accompanies Victoria in her attempt to murder Bella Swan.
Maria: Female mid-20's, Hispanic, petite figure, brunette, dark eyes with a soft and musical voice. Maria looks for humans that she could turn to vampires to create a "newborn army".
Bree: 14-17, beautiful, 5'1" - 5'3", short dark hair, fair skin. Has a high pitched shrill scream. She is one of the newborn army who ravaged Seattle, killing many with her fellows under the guise of a serial killer.
Royce King II: Male, late 20's, out-spoken, comes from wealthy family. He was a human who lived during the time of the Great Depression. He was engaged to Rosalie Hale for a short period of time.
There will also be additional members of the La Push wolf pack and Quileute tribe cast in Eclipse. Like New Moon, they are looking for Native American or First Nations actors ONLY to fill the Native American roles - no actors who "look like they could be" Native American or First Nations people.

Announcement! NATIVE TALENT 2009 to end June 28.
6 Month Contract Has Come To An End
NATIVE TALENT 2009 Grant funding contract ends June 28, 2009. My boss Christine informed me that she does not have the funds to continue after June. She thought she could get grant funding for September to the end of the year. But, she cannot. After the SAG TV/Theatrical contracts were passed and Hollywood productions are back underway. Several of her projects were put on hold last year and she was given the Green Light to move forward with them. Christine’s focus right now is her Bigger Projects. We will have lunch on Monday and I will thank her for the opportunity to bring NATIVE TALENT 2009 to the masses. It has been fun and thanks for stopping by everybody. It’s astounding to me how popular this Blog has become from 0 to 45,000 views in 6 months. Thanks to all of you. I’m just grateful people showed up. I will finish out my contract to June 28, 2009. Stay tuned!
I will announce what I plan to do with NATIVE TALENT 2009 after the June 28, 2009 date approaches. -- All the Best – Roscoe Pond

Support "Tales of an Urban Indian" Pilot TV show
(Photo courtesy of Facebook group "Tales of an Urban Indian) PR Statement from same Facebook group. Quote: "The Pilot for ‘Tales of an Urban Indian’ was filmed in February. Right now we are waiting to receive word if APTN likes our show enough to pick it up. So, maybe you guys can write APTN and say “We want Tales of an Urban Indian!” I don’t know if it will help or not, but, maybe it will get them thinking! (Cast members include Darrell Dennis, Carmen Moore, Tantoo Cardinal, Graham Greene, David Lewis, Katya Gardner, Paul Bae and the Baker Twins, Shannon and Shauna). You can contact APTN directly by clicking on the picture of Darrell Dennis & Carmen Moore.
SERIES OUTLINE -- TALES OF AN URBAN INDIAN is the very first series of its kind; a quirky comic- drama about Canada’s urban Native population. The series follows the escapades of BRIAN DOUGLAS, a First Nations actor who is disillusioned by the stereotypes of Native people in the media. To battle these stereotypes, BRIAN has resolved to expose the truth about the urban Aboriginal experience and change the perception of Native people forever. If only he could get his personal life together first! His first major endeavor in this quest is a homemade documentary entitled, “TALES OF AN URBAN INDIAN”.
BRIAN is pulled in many different directions by an eclectic mix of characters: DOMINIQUE, his spoiled heiress girlfriend, TERRI AND TANYA, the two beautiful Native twins that live next door, ADAM, the grouchy spirit that haunts Simon’s apartment, and KYE7E JOSIE, SIMON’S grandmother and voice of reason. These people, combined with the countless girlfriends, bosses, producers, enemies, etc., will continue to help or hinder BRIAN in his “Tales”.
With the financial and technical support of his best friends, KRISTA SELLERS and TOM HA, Brian will reveal the Aboriginal experience in an exercise that is as much purging therapy, as it is art. Brian’s mantra in his manifesto is, “Pure honesty, no matter how ridiculous, painful, embarrassing, or hurtful it may be.” This mantra will prove to be problematic for many of the subjects involved.
Perhaps the greatest challenge for Brian is his relationship with Krista. As children, they were betrothed to each other in a symbolic Indian ceremony. Despite separating as children, Brian and Krista’s platonic relationship is stronger than ever. So strong in fact, that they are developing unspoken feelings for one another. With Krista recently affianced and Brian unable to get his life together, it seems that Krista and Simon will never fulfill their childhood betrothal. The question with these two is not “will they or won’t they?” but rather “Would they and should they?”… Only time will tell." Native Talent 2009 gives %100 support. Way cool.
