The Standing Rock Education Poster Campaign

The Standing Rock Education Poster Campaign totally rocks. We had the honor of being asked to work with Sacheen Whitetail Cross and the Standing Rock Education Department to create a series of posters for the youth of the Standing Rock Community. The creative focus was to give the children an image and sense of pride of who their tribes heros are and to educate them through the values of what these heros represented to the community, using Lakota language and english translations.

We were able to research and find images through the Denver Public Library Western History and Genealogy Archives and also through the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History archives. The final posters are awesome... Nakota Designs is very proud to be a part of such an awesome community outreach campaign. Check em out!! ( 3 of 7 here)
