Venus and Jupiter Meet Tonight
This evening, Venus and Jupiter -- the two brightest planets -- will appear right next to each other at twilight. Look near the horizon in the west-southwest about 40 to 60 minutes after sunset. The two planets will also be close Sept. 2, then will get farther apart each day after that. They'll be joined by the waxing crescent moon Sept. 6 and 7.
