An upcoming film based off a novel by Richard Van Camp will soon be made into a feature film. The Lesser Blessed, published in 1996, is a coming-of-age story about a young First Nations teenager grappling with the complexities of modern life. It takes place in the Northwest Territories of Canada, which Van Camp hopes will get the nod as a filming location.

Aho Carole: For the information on this new "feature film",,,I'm sure we will all be looking forward to it...I wanted to just pop in and say "Aho" (thank you in Kiowa) for the information on how I could purchase "Christmas in the Clouds" (I asked you before Christmas)...The DVD came just after Christmas, but that was o.k. we viewed it the other night and We both really enjoyed it!!...Its hard to say which character was the funniest, they all were good....Some of the "actors" really "stood out" in this comedy...We added it to our NDN collection....of films...(meaning no disrespect ) after all isn't this what this "group" is all about, hopeing that the First Nations people will be "recognized" in film by the rest of the world!!...........thanks again, for all the hard work you do, we have decided to start giving DVD's (NDN films) as gifts ....by the way, I printed out the list you posted some time back by the artist of "Blue Corn Comics" on Native American Based Films....I am trying to "locate"............"Dude Vision" from the year 2005.....If you know where I can obtain this film at, please post and let me know..........again...........Thank You for your "great group".....aho.............Judy & Wilson SpottedBird

One of the things I love most about the 'net is how it is making it so much easier to access some of our favorite films and music! Just so happens you can see Dude Vision in its entirety on the Gusadelic website. For those of you unfamiliar, this 24 minute film is a laugh-out-loud funny look at the male psyche!!
