A Native American Music Awards nominee in 2007 and 2008, Michael Bucher is a Cherokee singer-
songwriter who was taught from the beginning of his memory the stories, language and legends of his people. His songs are intended to teach, heal and bring awareness to everyone who hears them. He sings about topics that are important to him and others in Indian Country. From the desecration of sacred sites, to Cherokee legends, to the sometimes seemingly Invisible Indian, there's a passionate quality throughout.

Michael will be joined on stage by traditional flute and drum performers, Wind Spirit Drum.
The husband and wife duo share their Eastern Woodland Native American culture and music through their flute and drum performance art. They perform traditional songs and stories in language and English. Windwalker, of Lenape, Mic-Mac and Cherokee decent, is the groups flutist and singer. Spirit Buffalo, of Mic-Mac and Cherokee heritage, is the groups resolute drummer.

Michael has recently teamed up with Grammy and Multiple Native American Music Award Winner, Joanne Shenandoah on their new album, "Bitter Tears - Sacred Ground," a poignant album honoring Johnny Cash, Floyd Red Crow Westerman and Peter LaFarge - now available on Hondo Mesa Records.
