New Zealand; Dealing with the Devil
Than Shwe’s regime will soon get another financial shot in the arm as
New Zealand joins the Association of Southeast Asian Nations. Called
Asean-CER (Closer Economic Relations) New Zealand as well as Australia
will join this economic union and integrate their economical resource
in an effort to broaden trade and investment among the 12 participating
countries.
This regional compact will cover a variety of goods including
investment and trade opportunities in goods, services,
telecommunications, electronic commerce, economic cooperation and the
movement of labor. With China and Burma already using slave labor this
