Savage Hurt!

                                      Savage Hurt!

Sad the heart that reaches out only to find itself crushed by the weight of hatred, slow the journey has been toward the light of healing, and one more time to find the door is closed before there is an opening.

Deep within my spirit cries as the drum is stilled in pain, hurt exploding in my mind as trust is again thrown back, how long must we crawl before it is seen we too are simply human?

Prayers rise choked with sobs and tobacco is offered, please Creator why is this so my land so full of those who wish to kill us,no quarter offered no understanding as once more they flay us.

Shaking now shoulders bowed the worlds weight is to heavy, blind and deaf they turn away and never see the other sides pain,we understood their need for freedom, but not their need to take ours.

Mother Earth,Father Sky,Four winds,Creator, Seven is the Sacred number and seven times I beg you,to the Water I take this pain but Great Spirit it is still inside me crying for an answer.

They came, they saw, they took, and now wish to be seen as victims, not good enough to kill our bodies they wish to kill our spirits, how I look forward to that last long journey.

Night falls on your children their faces lifted to you always, was it wrong to defend our homes and protect our helpless children, has five hundred years not been enough for these others to learn the lesson?

There is nothing more important than the peace and the healing, why can these brash and stunted young not find gentleness within them, why is taking all and crushing those they find before them so important?

My hands tremble with the hurt of those proud of their destruction, they preen and coo about the victories against a People who trusted, sweet words they spoke to get their way then broke every single promise.

Treaties made were empty words made by these guided by the coyote,oh,how they laughed as we died and only wished we suffered more and now brag about their glories.

They cry and complain that their kind fell beneath the wrath of Earths protectors,if they had not come and told their lies they would still be living in Europe, and my People would have never needed to defend against them.

Once here they gain the trust of those they needed to survive and then turned on them to slaughter, genocide most foul was their game Manifest Destiny their defense for their treachery.

Now they are not satisfied and try to say they are us,they weep and moan and wish to own the whole earth and her Peoples, murder was not good enough and now they sell our Spirits!

When asked at the military inquiry why children had been killed, one of the soldiers quoted Chivington as saying, "NITS MAKE LICE."

Buffalohair BURMAS POLITICAL PRISONERS, DEAD MAN WALKING

BURMAS POLITICAL PRISONERS, DEAD MAN WALKING

Win Tin 30, (Annul), National League for Democracy, died from the ravages of Tuberculosis needlessly. He was left to fend for himself within the confines of Tharrawaddy Prison, Burma. Officials ignored pleas for medical assistance from him, his family and friends. Win slowly and painfully decomposed before their very eyes over a period of six years until his death on March 6, 2008. Known for his courage and his "afraid of nothing" attitude, Auunl died defiant but drowned in his own blood in the process. As horrific and isolated this case may seem it’s only a small glimpse into Burma’s Penal Chamber of Horrors.

Hkun Htun Oo 64, Leader of Shan Nationalities League for Democracy, is one of many other Shan leaders incarcerated in Putao Prison Northern Kachin State. His condition is grave fore he is rapidly dying from untreated diabetes. Along with his diabetes Hkun has developed a serious prostate condition. With the possibility of prostate cancer and knowing this disease will receive no medical attention either. The forecast for this noble champion of his people is bleak at best. A horrifically painful and morbidly cruel death will be Hkun’s final memory from his tenure on Earth. The Shan community world wide is vehemently requesting his release but their cries fall on ambivalent government ears. Mesmerized by morbid curiosity, the world observes in ghoulish pallor.

Throughout the Burmese prison system political prisoners are left to die from a host of conditions. From medical to mental disease political prisoners are denied the basics of care. They are ear marked for death in this ghoulish example of eugenics and biological warfare. It should be no surprise this regime use disease to its advantage. In essence it is a death sentence for anyone who dares to speak out. The Union Solidarity Development Association (USDA) is fast becoming the new face of the "Thought Police". It is gaining notoriety as a ruthless group of thugs who monitor all that is said. If you talk in your sleep, dreams will get you arrested. It is inevitable whence you become a political detainee in Burma’s prisons you will become a dead man walking.

Inadvertently the United Nations has qualified the criminal junta that has enslaved the nation of Burma. Liken to Nevil Chamberland and his association with Adolf Hitler, Gambari and the military junta have become bedfellows. This new so called “Constitution” is nothing more than criminality on paper and will one day be part an parcel evidence whence the criminals of “Crimes Against Humanity” come to trial.

Armed with nothing more than absolute faith, a robe and slippers Buddhist Monks have made their position known about the Constitutional Referendum. The stakes are very high. Knowing and surviving the consequences of September’s protest monks stand defiant and have gone on the offensive regardless of the risks.

As the citizenry of Burma brace for more friendly persuasion tactics by jovial junta officials. The clear need of UN Observers is plain to see. Fact is, there should be an army of observers at this time. It’s nothing short of strong arm politics as usual for the criminal military junta.

Surviving the American Experience
Contributed by buffalohair on Mon, 2008-03-10 16:59.

From the jungles of Burma to the concrete jungle of modern America has become a challenge for the new arrivals to say the very least. I spoke with a Karen refugee woman, through my interpretor, and I was saddened by what she told me. Though she survived the ethnic cleansing of the military junta in Burma and managed to survive 10 years of hardships in a refugee camp on the Thai border, she was hard pressed to survive in modern America.

What started out as a vacation from my journalistic pursuits became a journey into a world many people never see. Their struggle, their stories and their plight, truly a walk through hell. I have become privy to the secrets from the jungles of Burma and Thailand. With the help of Burmese, Kachin and Karen friends plus refugee officials and missionaries I have become a welcome guest within the teaming refugee community here in America.

Burmese refugees fill refugee centers along the Burma/Thai border. Tired and hungry, they soon discover there is no food or supplies according to Karen Relief officials. The injured, though lucky to be alive, ponder their fate while the lack of medical attention takes its human toll. With a new Thai government taking control the refugees as well as migrant workers, approximately 1 million or so, fear for an unknown future.

Horrific Reflections from Burma

As we languish over our plight, high oil prices and the political circus that is unfolding. It is hard to imagine people are running through the jungles of Burma trying to escape relocation and enslavement. Karen tribal refugees are making their way to the Burma/Thai border to find sanctuary through a barrage of gun fire and bursting bombs from government forces.

Burma's Constitutional Contradiction
Contributed by buffalohair on Fri, 2008-02-29 16:36.

With the United Nations and the world abuzz about Burma’s Constitution you’d think positive change was afoot for this enslaved nation. But alas it is quite the contrary as the military junta imposes imprisonment and threatens student groups, opposition leaders and anyone who opposes the new Constitution. The ink isn't even dry on this so called piece of double speak and the iron fist of totalitarian rule has already begun.

Buffalohair BURMAS GUN BARREL REFERENDUM

BURMAS GUN BARREL REFERENDUM

With May just around the corner Brig-Gen Thein Zaw, Minister of "Double Speak" and Communications along with the Union Solidarity Development Association (USDA) has stepped up their coercion and blatant intimidation tactics. No tribe, clan or villager has been spared from the on slot of Junta thugs as they force the populous to agree with the Constitutional Referendum. From bribery to beatings, the junta has pulled out all the stops.

Knowing the bloody alternative if they do not agree, citizens are forced to sign agreements assuring a positive vote on the bogus constitution. Their reward, maybe the government will promise them a phone or possibly not shut off electricity to the community. But the catch all favorite of Junta officials is sparing the lives of family members. Death is always the ultimate consequence for any infraction of iron rule. If you're a villager living in the jungle you are most likely murdered, your women raped to death and your village erased in a hale of explosions and dense smoke. The atrocities from within the jungles are beyond imagination. Your lucky if the military only kills the chief of a village to win votes for the referendum.

With the price of human life set at $6 by junta officials, eugenics is the most economical solution. It is cheaper to kill you if you don't agree. The lush green forests of Burma fertilized in human blood. The streets of the cities flow like rivers of despair for the vast majority of the population. The Constitutional Referendum has become a curse for the common man. The mere mention of the referendum could place you in jail indefinitely. With a proverbial gun pointed to your head you vote yes. If you vote no they pull the trigger. And it's business as usual for the military junta of Burma.

Suspected 88 Generation Students members and associates are silently being rounded up along with others who oppose or make mention of the Constitutional Referendum. The execution of Suu Kyi's neighbors was a thinly veiled threat to all opposition. The notion such a heavily guarded place such as Suu Kyi's compound or adjoining neighborhood would be the scene of a house invasion is beyond stupid. It was also coincidence the executed parties were pro NLD. Burma is a nation in bondage where thoughts can get you incarcerated and a 'no vote' on the referendum could possibly get you and your family killed. Then here sits this so called Constitutional Referendum with a special Suu Kyi section that forbids her from anything political. No good ever came of evil and the Constitutional Referendum is no exception to this rule.

Well yea got to give ole Ibrahim Gambari credit since he did suggest the use of observers to oversee the voting process. But there is no question Gambari felt the heat when Brig Gen Kyaw Hsan gave him a piece of his mind. Hsan made it perfectly clear to the UN envoy the Burmese Government was completely capable of running their own elections. He also found it offensive that Gambari ran his mouth to other countries about Burmese business and he did not appreciate it one bit. Further, Hsan accused Gambari of a breach of trust for reveling contents of his November visit with Suu Kyi. He warned Gambari that if he kept speaking to western nations and bringing their suggestions to these discussions that Gambari's role as "impartial advisor" would be held in close scrutiny by the Burmese government. It was not a sunny day for the UN envoy.

On the other side of the coin is this giant military leader and iron fisted ruler of Burma, Snr-Gen Than Shwe. With death squads, assassination teams and a legion of soldiers at his disposal Shwe refuses to speak with Aung San Suu Kyi until she stops this "confrontational attitude" What is wrong with this picture? Suu Kyi is a beautiful but slight woman. Surely ole Buba Shwe is not frightened of a tiny little woman. The Constitutional Referendum will not mask the reality of his bloody regime and isolating Suu Kyi will not stop the voice of freedom.

Since the general election in 1990 where the vote of the people was ignored as the world watched, I doubt the junta learned the error of their ways. With monks already in the sights of the USDA it is only a matter of time before more blood is spilled. And to think global corporations are invested in this holocaust. Hmm, who might they be eh? Who are the co sponsors of death and oppression? Are we inadvertently financing the Military Junta of Burma by supporting these Global Corporations? Well thanks to "The Burma Campaign" of the United Kingdom there is a current list of corporations you might find interesting. They call it "The Dirty List". It should be called the murderers list because these companies make a profit at the expense of human suffering. Their money is tainted with the blood of a dying nation. Here is the web sight;

Buffalohair BURMAS NATIONAL LEAGUE FOR DEMOCRACY LOOSES ANOTHER SON

BURMA’S NATIONAL LEAGUE FOR DEMOCRACY LOOSES ANOTHER SON

The National League for Democracy and the people of Burma lost another son this week. Annul (Win Tin), 30, NLD member and political prisoner died from treatable tuberculosis 8 years into his 24 year prison sentence. “Activities destructive to the stability of the regime” was his crime. Incarcerated in Tharrawaddy Prison, Pegu Division since 1999, Annul was diagnosed with TB in 2002 yet he was refused medical treatment. He was made to die a slow and agonizing death with the progression of the disease. It was a 6 year struggle to breathe while living with excruciating pain. Eventually he drowned in his own blood. Annul’s fight for democracy was over.

Since he was a political prisoner he still got his weekly torture session from military junta handlers. Coughing endlessly for weeks at a time was the norm for untreated TB. Annul’s chest wrenched in pain while lungs convulsed and filled with blood on a daily basis. There was no relief for his suffering and pleads from his family members were simply ignored by prison officials. The joys of government sponsored torture and the expertise they exercised added to his weekly experience, there is no question. Such is life for political prisoners held in bondage by the Burmese Military Junta.

There is equality in Burmese prisons since all prisoners are left to die or disappear like 97 political prisoners managed to do. They just disappeared; hopefully their deaths were quick and not mired in morbid blood letting likened to Vlad the Impaler or the Spanish Inquisition. Joseph “Mr. Zyklon B” Goebles was not shy about the pleasures of human suffering and death either eh. My personal favorite was George Armstrong Custer and his merry band of butchers and rapists.

Annul was an NLA member since he was a teen. He dedicated his life to his people, beloved Burma and Democracy. Truly a patriot and a warrior he was known to be “Afraid of Nothing” and knew the risks he took. Than Shwe and his thugs only took Annul’s life but they could not break his spirit or take democracy and freedom out of his soul. He died a martyr in the battlefield of ideology for the Burmese People and the struggle for democracy. He left behind a wife, family and friends who will always cherish his memory. The NLA lost another brother and champion. Annul (Win Tin) will be remembered as a patriot and a hero.
